Is there anyone that is out there, that is beyond level 50 on their crafting profession? The reason I ask is because it is extremely slow for me to grind weaponsmithing now since I hit skill 50 last week. I harvest about 100 iron ignots and 100 wood and it took me from 51.2 to 53.9.

The reason I am asking is because I have heard a couple say that once a combination of your skills reach a certain level your entire skill point system slows down.

Example ( I will post the skills I currently have):

Logging: 79
Logging Mastery: 39

Mining: 82
Mining Mastery: 49

Woodcutting: 59
Smelting: 63

Weaponsmithing: 53

So pretty much what I heard is that once some of your "Crafting" skills gain all other "Crafting" skill will have decreased progression. So if I had 50 weaponsmith and 0 harvesting professions it would level alot more faster than what it is now.

Or am I just wrong and grinding after skill 50 is extremely slow?

yes, there are already GM weaponsmiths/armorsmiths.

People are making racial weapons and selling plate/fullplate.

And yes, it slows down alot at 50. Then again in the 60s and then at 75 etc etc. It has various points where it seems to come to a crawl.

100 ingots and 100 wood is nothing. You'll be burning hundreds of wood/ingots for things. You might want to find a good steady supply of materials =D

Thanks for the reply bro. It wouldnt be so bad is the harvesting skill ups were pretty much pointless. Takes me about 2 hours to mine 100 ore and 100 timber  . And I am not buying ore and timber cause im a broke ass crafter :P.

Right now I am just grinding goblin axes and have been doing so from the start. I started expirimenting with like rank 10 or 20 weapons to see if you get more skill ups that way and it didnt appear like you did.

if weapon crafting is anything like the other crafting skills: You can do the absolute easiest item until 75 for the best/cheapest gains.

which is really the problem with the whole "skill-up" system. The industry should have learned from WOW how giving levels for making stuff distorts the economy.
